Our client, a leading enterprise in the garment manufacturing sector, faced significant bottlenecks in their production operations. Traditional production lines were plagued by cumbersome punch-in procedures, delayed process statistics, and disconnected data silos. They urgently required a highly reliable industrial panel pc capable of supporting dual-mode ID/IC fast card reading and customized RS232 interfaces, which could be securely mounted onto their overhead hanging transport systems.

Specifically, the factory faced three critical challenges:

  1. Manual Tracking Errors: Workers relied on handwritten paper work orders. Manual data entry into the central system was error-prone, making production traceability nearly impossible.

  2. Inefficient Data Collection: Existing card readers lacked compatibility, supporting only single-card types with severe latency, significantly slowing down operator identification.

  3. Hardware Integration Failures: Traditional workstation computers utilized non-standard RS232 interfaces and were secured with standard screws, which frequently loosened under the continuous vibration of the factory floor.

Solution

To resolve these bottlenecks, the client deployed the ONERugged D10R, an advanced industrial panel pc designed to deeply integrate with their existing hanging systems and production management workflows.

Upon receiving production commands from the central server, operators use the D10R’s built-in front NFC module to log in instantly (supporting both ID and IC cards). The system automatically verifies identity and records labor hours. Using a custom female RS-232 serial port, the D10R connects directly to the hanging system to receive real-time process data, automatically calculating output and task progress, and displaying it clearly on a 700-nit high-brightness screen.

Mounted securely via standard VESA holes, the D10R withstands environmental vibrations. As workers complete tasks based on real-time screen instructions, the hanging system automatically routes materials to the next station. Throughout this process, the device utilizes a Gigabit LAN port to sync data to the management backend, ensuring complete visibility.
